Donations, sponsorships and our Cultural ANBI status

Will you also become a Friend of Schippop?

Anyone who met us with a gift supports, we proudly call a Friend of Schippop. Thanks to these friends, we can continue to organise and grow our cultural activities. In addition to donations, we also have sponsorship-that is a different kind of support, with a different tax treatment.

What is a donation - and how is it different from sponsorship?

gift is a voluntary contribution with no quid pro quo. As a Friend of Schippop, you donate because you want to support our mission, without any advertising, visibility or other business benefits in return. Because there is no quid pro quo, your donation is tax deductible. For our foundation - with cultural ANBI status - this means that Friends can get extra tax benefits.

Sponsorship works differently. With sponsorship, a company does receive a quid pro quo, such as name entry, logo placement, promotion or access to an event. Sponsorship is a business deal: the costs can often be claimed as business expenses, but are not subject to the gift deduction and therefore do not benefit from the extra advantages of our cultural ANBI status.

Briefly:

Gift = no quid pro quo → Friend of Schippop, with tax benefits

Sponsorship = consideration → business costs

Donations

Our foundation has the Cultural ANBI status

Since 15 January Our foundation is officially designated as Cultural ANBI (Institution for General Benefit)

This provides our Friends of Schippop - both individuals and companies who donate - with additional tax benefit.

Sponsorship

Would you rather sponsor where we provide a quid pro quo? We are also extremely happy to do so!
