Lone Assembly

Lone Assembly is a Swiss quartet blending new wave, romantic synthpop, and dark, melancholic post-punk. The band—Raphaël Bressler (vocals, keyboards), Glenn Le Meur (guitar), Jim Bodeman (bass), and Romain Segu (drums)—released the striking first EP “That Never Happened” in 2024, unraveling themes of unresolved grief across five tracks that married the haunting allure of the ’80s with precision-crafted modern production.

The band continues to explore often bleak topics such as rejection, emotional disconnection and inner insecurity on their debut album, “Knots & Chains”, due for a February 2026 release via Irascible Records. Thunderous basslines and hypnotic rhythms intertwine with reverb-soaked guitars and atmospheric synths, creating brooding soundscape for Raphaël’s deep, resonant vocals. The record is a testament to the Swiss band’s ability to transform their cold-wave influences into huge bangers with indie-rock leanings. Their gothic-inspired visuals, steeped in elegance and intent, amplify their aesthetic, making every detail a statement.

Having rapidly found a dedicated audience in the new-wave/dark-wave scene, yet boasting serious pop appeal, Lone Assembly are set to tour extensively in the coming months.
